How to register for a Yahoo user ID and password and set e-mail preferences

How do I set up my Yahoo! Groups account?

Joining Yahoo! Groups is easy! To get started you will need to register for a Yahoo! ID and link it to any email addresses you wish to use for Yahoo! Groups.

To register go to http://groups.yahoo.com/

Click "Sign Up"

Fill out the registration form and insert the user name you would like. If the user name is already taken, Yahoo will suggest another or you can fill in another user name you would like. Note: The Yahoo! ID you choose must be unique. It does not need to match your email address. Then click "submit this form."

You should receive an email confirming your registration. Make sure to record your Yahoo! ID and password. You will need these to sign into Yahoo! Groups.

Now sign in to Yahoo groups with your new user name and password.

To associate your Yahoo groups with your user name, click the "membership Wizard", or it may ask you "would you like to associate groups with this e-mail address. Once you groups are associated with your Yahoo user ID, you can change your e-mail settings on how you want to receive your mail from the PBCers.

Once you have associated all your Yahoo groups with your user name, you will have a groups page listing your Yahoo groups. Click on PBC_Digest. This will take you to the PBC Digest website. Here you can read message, post and change your e-mail settings.

To change your e-mail settings click "edit membership" at the top of page. Here you can set up individual e-mails, digest format or no mail. Also html or text format.

For easier reading and replying to the PBC Daily Digest, I suggest using digest format, html on the fully featured (new & improved). Using this format you will have a link under each PBCers message to reply to that particular message.

I know this is hard for some of our members, but really it is a very good way to get the PBC daily digest. It is actually easier than how we were doing it before especially if you get it in html format.
