Three to be inducted into the Rental Hall of Fame
The Rental Hall of Fame is dedicated to fostering an appreciation of the historical development of the rental industry and its impact on our culture by honoring those who have served this industry continuously for many years and have made outstanding contributions at the national level. Three will be inducted into the Rental Hall of Fame at this morning's Opening General Session. They are:
Keith Klarin
Perfect Party Consulting Services, Palm City, Fla. Klarin previously was president of All Purpose Rentals, Shrewsbury, N.J., 1969-1996 (retired).
Greatest achievement for the rental industry: Encouraging rental companies to add party rentals. Klarin began doing this during the recession of the early 1980s. This leadership helped some small, struggling rental companies survive downturns, and larger companies to grow significantly. He has been the author of the "Party Perfect" column in RENTAL MANAGEMENT from November 1980 to present.
Klarin served as president of A.R.A. in 1987 and on its board of directors from 1980-88 and 2000-01. Other A.R.A. service includes: A.R.A. Party Council member 1976-80, chairman 1980-84; Parties-R-Us (traveling party workshop series), 1982-84; Executive Search Committee member, 2000; A.R.A. Distinguished Service Award, 1983. He has served on numerous seminar panels and as a seminar moderator; as RENTAL MANAGEMENT Business Committee chairman. Klarin has served on the A.R.A. of New Jersey board and as its president, 1970-75. He has penned many articles for RENTAL MANAGEMENT.
Other service: Advisory boards for Rental and Rental Equipment Register magazines. Author of articles for many party and event industry publications. In his community, Klarin was active in the Jaycees, and has served the United Cerebral Palsy on boards.
