PBC Poem

Written By Jacqueline A. Smith (Jackie^Az) who is now one of our PBCer Angels watching over us

How we all met,

The reason behind;

We all have in common,

A disease that is not kind.

Primary Biliary Cirrhosis as rare as it may be,

Has four stages;

Moves slowly,

And ultimately a transplant I see.

But for unfortunate reasons,

Of how we all met;

A place to vent, a place to cry,

And we do it all o'er the net.

We find out the information,

Share with others,

'Cause sometimes doctors don't know;

And at the same time,

Have found friendships;

That just seem to grow and grow.

With PBC so in our lives,

It would be easy to give up;

To quit the fight,

But we all are strong;

And with each others support,

We all can make it through;

For love's sweet song.

Keep a Positive attitude,

That's what they all say;

Sometimes I find that's hard to do,

Until I kneel to pray.

Positive Mental Attitude,

With the help;

And support of loved-ones and friends,

We will all beat this PBC;

Of course, our lives are not our own,

We are forever held, in God's hands.
