Instructions for PBCers Quilt Squares

Please join your fellow PBCers in providing a quilt "square" for our PBCer Quilts. They will be used to help promote awareness of Primary Biliary Cirrhosis. Please join in helping to raise the much-needed funds for PBC research.

It is really not difficult and believe me, anyone can do it. If you cannot, I'm sure someone would be glad to make one for you. The squares must be uniform in size, so please follow the instructions.

• Use an 8" square of WHITE cotton, keeping your pattern/info within a 4 " in the center of square
• Include the following info: printed or written  
  • a. Full Name  
  • b. City, State/Prov, Country (may use abbr.)  
  • c. Date of Diagnosis  
  • d. Stage of disease if known
• This can be done by embroidery, cross-stitch, fabric paint, or coloredindelible markers to make your info. stand out.
  • Many also use there computer/printers to make their squares.
  • You may include your photo, artwork, what ever as long as it fits in the 4 1/2" space.
  • You can purchase printer "Fabric Sheets" at office supply stores or Wal-Mart/Kmart type stores)

Quilter's Hint: You will find that if you are writing on the cotton material itself, it helps to iron a piece of freezer paper to back of material which will make it stiff enough to write on.
