Mission Statement:

Unite people with Primary Biliary Cirrhosis, help them cope with their
disease and improve the quality of their lives through support and education
using an online medium.

Provide education and support for family members and friends of people
with PBC.

Via the internet and other media, raise public awareness regarding PBC,
the need for research and organ donation.

Raise funds to support education and research that leads to identifying
a cure for PBC.

Host and organize a PBC national conference every two years for PBC patients,
family members and friends to share information about current research,
fundraising, educational programs, and to provide an opportunity for those
with PBC and their loved ones to network with other PBCers.

Our goal is that all who are diagnosed with Primary Biliary Cirrhosis
receive the support and education they need to cope with this disease.

You may not use them for meetings, fundraisers, promotions, craft items,
etc without the written approval of the PBCers Organization
Executive Committee.
Organization Guidelines

The PBCers Organization offers various "established" areas
of support and help for our members. Please do not
start a new PBCers "group" chatroom, message board, listbot or website that
you wish to be associated with the PBCers Organization without prior
Executive Committee approval.

Any requests to link your webpage to our website should be sent to
PBCers96@yahoo.com.

If you would like to add your personal homepage site,
member bio, picture, PBCers group member picture, had a newspaper
article published or have an interesting url to add to our website, please
send the information to PBCers96@yahoo.com and mark "For PBCers Website"
in the subject heading.

Any type of "PBCers Organization" research project or survey must
be approved by the Executive
Committee before being submitted to the digest subscribers.

The Executive Committee has the right to remove an area of support from
our organization's sponsorship at any time.

The PBCers is open to all those who would like to learn more about PBC
or offer their support. All members receive our online PBC daily digest.
At this time there are no membership fees for our online digest, but
please feel free to make a donation to help defray our costs.
All participants in the PBCers Organization are volunteers. At this
time, there are no paid employees.
